CWC 38 Brings MMA Back to Thibodaux on October 4

 

Thibodaux, La. — In Ya Face Fight Productions  once again take center stage in the Bayou Region as Championship Warrior Combat (CWC) returns to Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, October 4, 2025 for CWC 38.

 

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first fight scheduled for 6:30 p.m

 

Main Event: Borkowski Headlines in Front of Hometown Fans

Headlining the evening will be Joe “Kong” Borkowski, a Nicholls State graduate and Thibodaux native. Fighting out of Louisiana Black Belt Academy in Morgan City and Extreme MMA & Fitness in Houma, Borkowski has built his career from the ground up, beginning his training in Morgan City under coach Steve Miller.

 

Sporting a flawless 6-0 amateur record, capturing and defending the CWC Middleweight Title, before making the leap to the professional ranks. His debut was solid with a TKO win over Nick Gay of Housont.

 

On October 4, Borkowski will face Chris Williams of Shreveport, who represents Elite Combat Shreveport. Williams brings with him an amateur record of  6-4 record, but stumbled in his professional debut, suffering a submission loss just 36 seconds into the opening round. Williams enters hungry for redemption.

 

Co-Main Event: Rance Ward Returns!

The co-main event will feature match up featuring, CJ “Sho’Nuff” Henny and Rance “Pressure” Ward.

 

Henny, who competes out of Headkicks MMA and Acadiana Jiu Jitsu in Lafayette, enters with a professional record of 2-3. Across the cage will stand Houma’s own Ward, who brings a well-rounded résumé of his own with a 2-1 MMA record to go along with an 8-5 career in boxing. This collision in Thibodaux will serve as a proving ground to see whose evolution has carried them further.

 

Undercard Features Local Flavor

 

The card will also shine a spotlight on homegrown talent, as Ty Smith makes his amateur debut against Paul Hingle IV. The matchup brings a distinctly local flavor.

 

With a hometown headliner, a co-main event steeped in storyline, and young prospects ready to break through, CWC 38 is shaping up to be one of the most memorable fight nights

South Louisiana has seen in years.

 

Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early, as the auditorium is expected to be filled with energy and anticipation when the cage door closes on October 4.
