Let’s be honest — there’s a fine line between a legendary sports quote and a drunk uncle rambling at a crawfish boil. Lucky for you, the Group Chat Podcast is here to help you figure out which is which.
In our latest episode of Nick Hebert’s Lil Games, the gang plays a brand-new game: “Real or Fake: Quote Edition.” The premise is simple: we read a ridiculous quote, and the guys have to decide if it was actually said by a real person... or if Nick pulled it from the deep corners of his shady imagination (with help from his infamous Indian Wheel of Randomness™, of course).
Some of the quotes in this game are almost too dumb to be real… which naturally means they’re probably
100% authentic.
Here’s a taste of what you’re in for:
“Left hand, right hand… I’m amphibious.” (This is real. And no, we’re not OK.)
“The Saints are like my ex—full of promise but always disappointing by October.”
“You guys pair up in groups of three, then line up in a circle.”
“I once called a timeout just to yell at myself.” (Mood.)
With Nick, Damien, Casey, Jacob, and Tommy on the phone, this episode spirals into glorious chaos fast. There’s confusion over the score, complaints about the wheel being rigged, and quotes that sound like they came from Marshawn Lynch, Mike Tyson, or your basketball coach with a cooler full of High Lifes.
💥 Spoiler alert: Someone thinks they won. Someone’s mad they didn’t. Someone quotes Vince Lombardi and still gets roasted. And nobody can believe Chuck Nevitt really said what he said.
👇If you’ve ever argued whether something was said by a Hall of Famer or a Facebook uncle, this episode is for you.
And remember — in the words of one fake coach we totally made up:“ You can’t teach hustle… but you can bench the hell out of a kid who won’t.”
