HOUMA, LA — The cage is coming to the bayou.

This Saturday night, CWC 37 — In Ya Face Fight Productions, one of Louisiana’s most exciting  MMA promotions — returns to action at the Houma Terrebonne Civic Center. It’s a full slate of fights, featuring rising talent, in multiple aspects of MMA.

Verdin joined the Group Chat Podcast this week to preview Saturday’s event, which he says will spotlight both seasoned amateurs and professionals.

“I’ve been promoting events for a very long time, going on 20 years, all different types of fights. On these CWC cards, I love to mix it up and I give the fans a little list of everything including, jitsu matches, youth competition, boxing matches and kickboxing matches. I mix it up..”

Verdin emphasized how events like CWC 37 help grow local interest in MMA while giving fighters from South Louisiana a platform to develop their skills and reputations.

One highlight Verdin noted: hometown fighter Joe Borkowski making his professional debut against a very experienced Nick Gay of Houston, Texas. Gay has a total of 15 fights on his resume.  Verdin also highlighted a youth tag team grappling match and multiple females bouts that that fans will love!

CWC 37 isn’t just about the fights. It’s a night of entertainment, community, and connection. it’s an event that brings MMA fans together — whether they’re seasoned supporters or just looking for something new on a Saturday night in Houma.
