Silas St.Pierre Wins two Gold Medals at local Jiu Jitsu Competition

Gracie United - Team Jucao organized its quarterly "in-house" competition on Saturday at East Ascension High School. Participants from Team Jucao's 31 gyms in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama gathered in Gonzales, LA for a day devoted to Jiu Jitsu. Six rings were set up in a basketball gym, hosting competitors from children as young as 4 years old to adults of various ages, sizes, and skill levels later in the afternoon. The event featured non-stop action throughout the day.

The Group Chat Podcast's favorite Jiu Jitsu athlete, Silas St.Pierre (son of Nick), had an impressive performance on Saturday, winning two gold medals.

In the Gi competition finals, Silas triumphed over his opponent with a score of 8-4.

Despite being taken down early in the match, Silas managed to recover, earning points for mount and later another 4 points for back mount. After several near submissions, the round concluded with Silas securing the gold medal.

Later, Silas faced the same opponent in the No-Gi competition finals. This time, he delivered a decisive victory with a score of 36-0, earning his second gold medal of the day.

The next Gracie United - Team Jucao "In-House" event is set for October 4th in Gonzales.

If you or your child are interested in learning self-defense or training for competitions through Jiu Jitsu, I highly recommend visiting Team Jucao - Bayou Lafourche gym in Galliano. They have highly skilled instructors who will teach you or your child the intricacies of Jiu Jitsu.
