This week’s episode went straight from a simple question—“What’s the best pizza place in Chicago?”—to full-on chaos… and we’re here for it.
Nick broke down the Windy City’s pizza scene like a true food critic: Pequod’s, Giordano’s, Gino’s East… but then he brought up a place called Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder, where they serve upside-down pizza in a bowl. Basically a lava-filled bread bowl meets a Hot Pocket without a roof. And then Tommy confused it for a dating site. 😳
But beyond the laughs, we got sentimental:
Nick shared a memory about the little old guy who ran the door at the restaurant with no pen, no list — and still never missed a name. It sparked a convo about how rare it is now to find someone in hospitality who truly gives a damn.
💬 RIP to the OGs like Mr. Harris and Mr. Melvin, who made you feel like family every time you walked through the door.
📽️ Watch the full story to laugh, cry (maybe from the spice), and let us know:
Is an upside-down pizza in a bowl still pizza… or is it just a delicious scam?
